(2:14-9:06) Gas Tax Decision

Ohio lawmakers have approved a 90-day suspension of the state’s gas tax, which could save drivers more than $80 during the holiday period. The measure has bipartisan support but faces questions about the loss of hundreds of millions in tax revenue and whether Gov. Mike DeWine will sign it. (UPDATE: Governor Mike DeWine signed the bill just before 11 a.m.)

(9:07-11:43) Gary Keesee Jr. Trial

Testimony has started in the Gary Keesee Jr. trial in Knox County. Keesee is facing 32 charges, including 13 counts of rape, involving allegations of abuse against three girls, and he has waived his right to a jury trial. Yesterday we heard from some of his accusers. 

(11:58-16:41) Billy Wagner Requests New Attorney

Billy Wagner, the last family member to face trial in the Pike County murders case, is asking the court for a new attorney. Wagner says he no longer believes his lawyer, Mark Collins, believes he is innocent, with a hearing on the request scheduled for today.

Capital University President Jared Tice joins the Big Picture to discuss his vision for the university as it approaches its 200th anniversary in 2030. The conversation also examines the financial challenges facing private colleges and universities and how Capital plans to strengthen its future.
