Modou Ghom was found guilty of three counts of vehicular homicide and five counts of vehicular assault in the crash that killed Lynnea and Luke Soposki and their 1-year-old son. Ghom is scheduled to be sentenced October 29.

A second Columbus police officer is under investigation for allegedly misusing Flock cameras. The investigation comes as several Central Ohio communities pause or reconsider the technology amid nationwide concerns about privacy, surveillance and the potential for wrongful arrests.

Columbus is set to approve a $1 million settlement with Kia and Hyundai over a 2023 lawsuit alleging the automakers sold vehicles with inadequate anti-theft technology. Thousands of Kia and Hyundai vehicles have been stolen in Columbus as a result of lacking anti-theft equipment, according to the city. The settlement money will go into the city's general fund.
